Plenty of cause for optimism on Day One of the Cheltenham Festival. We got off the mark in emphatic style in the first race, and landed few places to keep things ticking over. The New One will be the 'one that got away', having been supported right in to 7/2 by the off.
We were also way ahead of the market on Aloomomo (6/1 into 3/1) and Southfield Royale (8/1 in to 5/1) and Beg to Differ (14/1 in to 11/1).
Cheltenham (Tuesday)

14.10: The Game Changer (W/O Douvan) 1pt ew at 4/1: unplaced
14.50: Beg To Differ 1pt ew at 14/1: UR SP 11/1
15.30: The New One 1pt ew at 6/1: unplaced SP 7/2
16.10: Polly Peachum - 1pt ew at 13/2: unplaced SP 6/1
16.50: Southfield Royale 1pt ew at 8/1: 4th SP 5/1
17.30: Aloomomo - 1pt ew at 6/1: unplaced SP 3/1
The Game Changer looked set for a place till badly hampered two out. Beg to Differ clipped heels and came down on the bend - way before the race got serious. Southfield Royale was well supported all morning and ran well, but paid the price for being too close to the gallop.
