Golf Betting Tips – 2019 Season Review

With Rory McIlroy being crowned the winner of the Tour Championship last week, advised here at 9/1, the traditional PGA Tour season has come to an end for another year.

Golf Betting Tips - 2019 Season Review

The season got off to a flying start with Xander Schauffele grabbing the W at the season opening Tournament of Champions for us at 25/1. We then had consecutive runners up (Putnam at 66/1 in the Sony Open & Hadwin at 28/1 in the Desert Classic) who both traded odds on in the closing 9 holes of the tournament.

If our season started well, it finished even stronger. Our golf tipster nailed a remarkable FOUR winners (11/1, 14/1, 50/1, 9/1) of the closing five events on the tour. The event he missed? Well he had the runner up for good measure.

In all we tipped 6 winners in 2019. Backing all our headline tips recorded a +14.4% ROI and +£64.35 to a £5 stake.

Our biggest priced placed golfers this season were Glover 140/1 & Connors 160/1 - coincidentally both in the BMW Championship.

Adding a level stakes outright win only & outright lay bet on each of our 'follow' & 'oppose' golfers took our total profit to £597.50 (to £5 stakes) - our best overall annual performance since 2012.

Most of the profits came on the lay side of the ledger. From the 142 golfers we recommended opposing in 2019, we only laid one winner - Justin Rose at 14/1.

So it was yet another thoroughly enjoyable season for our Golf tipster, who will return the first week of January with the 2020 Tournament of Champions.

PGA Tour Results: Fedex Cup – Tour Championship

In a reshuffled Tour Championship format - mainly in response to Tiger winning without winning last year - the 2019 rendition of the Fedex Cup finale started in a handicap format. It left the market looking a bit like one after a day or two of play.

With the reduced field of 30 we also had fewer golfer to follow / oppose - and just the one headline tip.

As it was - McIlroy stormed to an emphatic 4 shot victory, scooping a cool $15m for himself, and a fourth winning tip in five weeks for our Golf tipster.

DJ was one of the favourites going in to the Tour Championship - we suggested opposing him and he came home in a tie for stone last .. 6 shots behind his nearest rival.
