2016 Ryder Cup Betting Preview

Hazeltine, Minnesota, is the 2016 host of match play's most recognised event - and not just because of some questionable wardrobe selections - the Ryder Cup.

Our Golf tipster loves big priced value selections, and has previewed the biennial competition.

We didn't have selections in 2014, but in 2012 we tipped Europe as the winners (7/4) and nailed an 11/1 winner by calling the correct margin (14.5 to 13.5).

We have tips for Top American Points Scorer, Top European Points Scorer, Top Rookie Points Scorers for both teams, an Outright selection and a strong specials fancy - all guaranteed to keep you interested right through to close on Sunday night.

Play starts with four foursome matches on Friday morning (two players taking alternate shots with the same ball) before four afternoon fourball (two players each playing their own ball, best ball counts) contests. The format is replicated on Saturday, before the grand finale on Sunday, when all 12 golfers partake in singles matches.

Darren Clarke captains a European side responsible for eight victories in the last ten Ryder Cups, while Davis Love III leads the home charge, having previously captained them in 2002.

It looks sure to be a belting weekend's action - helped by the American time slot. Most of the matches will be played across evening time in Europe - making it fantastic for viewers and punters alike, so make sure you're armed with the best Ryder Cup preview tips.

Spring Treats: National & Masters

This week we have two of the calendar's most unmissable events.

First up, we have the US Masters at Augusta National, which tees off tomorrow.

Our team of experts have already tipped up their fancies, who are 22/1 and 33/1 shots. We have our usual 'Five to Follow' list - which has been proved to be the best way to make sure you have an interest come Sunday.

Then on Saturday we have the Aintree Grand National.

The Flyer had a sensational Cheltenham Festival, and it's all systems go for the Aintree spectacular, which tees off on Thursday. He's already published his tips for the big one, which are currently trading at 16/1 and 33/1.
