PGA Tour: Pebble Beach

For most of the weekend it looked like our PGA Tour tipster was going to go back-to-back, having notched up the 25/1 winner of the Phoenix Open - Matsuyama. Mickelson was our contender this week, and he traded as short as 1/2 heading in to Sunday's round. Unfortunately his birdie putt lipped out on the 72nd hole and denied him a crack at Vaughn Taylor in the playoff.

0.5pt ew Jimmy Walker at 18/1: unplaced
0.5pt ew Patrick Reed at 30/1: Placed (T6)*

*We advised members to take the 30/1 with 7 places with Paddy Power, rather than the 33/1 with worse place terms elsewhere. Reed finished in a two way tie for 6th, so gets paid out for the full place with PP.

PGA Golf: Phoenix Open

Our golf tipster went one better than last time and landed the 25/1 winner of the rowdy Phoenix Open. Matsuyama held his nerve in an enthralling playoff with home favourite Rickie Fowler, taking the 'W' with a par on the fourth playoff hole.

We'll have more golf tips next week.
