As the pandemic ticks along the empty grandstands are becoming incresingly familiar - but it is so much more noticeable when the biggest meetings roll around. Last week York Racecourse hosted the 2020 Ebor Festival, a meeting where our racing tipster had a career profit on turnover of +17%.

Rajinsky was a few yards away from landing us a lovely 12/1 winner on the opening day - unfortunately he was unable to hold in and in the dying strides was nabbed by Joe Fanning on Summer Moon.

Thursday

14.15: Devious Company 2pts win at 2/1: 2nd, SP 11/8
14.45: Montatham 1pt ew at 7/1: WON, SP 7/2
15.15: Love 4pts win at 1/2: WON, SP 4/9

Montatham was one of the best backed horses on the day and held off all comers to land the gamble.

So a week with a couple of nice winners but plenty left on the table. We had horses finish second at 9/4, 2/1, 8/1, 10/1.
