The final major of the season took place in early August at Quail Hollow. Rickie Fowler again went well and rewarded ew punters, but a Saturday 73 kept him out of genuine contention.

Once again we took on a big name and once again that player wouldn't compete. This time it was Spieth, who trundled home in 28th.
